Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Loose Ends is provided by Moneybond (“we,” “us,” or “our”). The app helps you record open loops, status changes, closure details, and personal reflections. We do not operate a backend account system for Loose Ends and we do not sell personal information.

2. Information stored by the app

The app may store the information you choose to enter or generate, including:

• Loop titles and whether a loop is Quick or a Long goal.
• Open, Waiting, and Parked statuses and status history.
• Created, updated, and closed dates and elapsed durations.
• Closure type, closure reason, and optional closure notes.
• App preferences such as theme, accent color, reminder schedule, and app-lock setting.
• A limited shared snapshot used to display the optional Home Screen widget.

This information is used only to provide app functions such as history, statistics, Weekly Reflection, widgets, export, and settings. Loose Ends does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs.

3. Optional iCloud sync

Lifetime Pro can enable iCloud sync. When enabled, your app database is configured to use a private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. This allows your data to sync between supported devices signed in to the same iCloud account.

Apple operates iCloud and CloudKit. Their processing is governed by your Apple agreements and Apple’s privacy practices. We do not receive a copy of your private CloudKit records through a Moneybond server. If iCloud is unavailable, the app is designed to retain local data and report the current sync status.

4. Apple system services

Purchases

Lifetime Pro purchases and restores are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. Loose Ends checks Apple-provided transaction entitlements to unlock Pro. Payment information is not entered into or stored by the app.

Face ID and device authentication

If you enable App Lock, Loose Ends asks iOS to authenticate you with Face ID or your device passcode. The app receives only the authentication result. It does not access or store your biometric template.

Notifications

If you enable Weekly Reflection reminders, the app asks for notification permission and schedules a repeating local notification for the weekday and time you select. You can disable the reminder in the app or change notification permission in iOS Settings.

Widgets and sharing

The widget reads a small app-group snapshot needed to show your open-loop count and oldest open loop. When you export CSV or JSON, the file is created on your device and sent only to the destination you select through the iOS share interface.

5. This website

This static website does not intentionally use analytics, advertising trackers, marketing cookies, accounts, or contact forms. If the site is hosted by a third-party provider, that provider may process routine technical logs such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and time of access for delivery, reliability, and security. Those logs are controlled by the hosting provider.

Contacting us by email sends the information you include to our email provider. We use support messages to respond to your request and maintain necessary support records.

6. Retention and deletion

On-device app data remains until you edit it, delete it, or remove the app and its data. Data stored in iCloud remains subject to your iCloud settings and Apple’s retention behavior. Exported files remain wherever you choose to save or share them.

You can remove individual loops in the app where supported, remove the app’s data from your device, manage iCloud data through Apple’s settings, and delete exported files from their chosen destinations.

7. Your choices

• Use Loose Ends locally without creating a Loose Ends account.
• Choose whether to activate iCloud sync, App Lock, widgets, and reminders.
• Change or revoke notification permissions in iOS Settings.
• Export your loop data in CSV or JSON format.
• Contact us with privacy or support questions.

8. Children’s privacy

Loose Ends is a general productivity app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly operate an account system or collect personal information from children through a Moneybond service.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the app, website, or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top of this page identifies the current version. Material changes will be reflected on this page and, where appropriate, in the app.
